Ruaha National Park

Ruaha National Park is Tanzania’s largest national park, covering over 20,000 square kilometers. This remote and relatively unexplored park offers a rugged landscape characterized by semi-arid bush country, interspersed with rivers and baobab trees. Ruaha is known for its high concentration of elephants, as well as large populations of buffaloes, lions, and other predators including cheetahs and wild dogs. The Great Ruaha River, the park’s lifeline, attracts a plethora of wildlife, making it an ideal spot for game viewing, especially during the dry season when animals congregate around the dwindling water sources.
